Festive fun as the UKFast Santa Run returns

Festive fun as the UKFast Santa Run returns

The annual Santa run returns to MediaCityUK this year with new sponsor, UKFast.
In association with the Manchester-based cloud provider, the festive family event will see hundreds of Santa-clad runners take to the streets around Media City UK to kickstart the festive season.
The event, organised by Sports Tours International, the team behind the We Love Manchester 10K and City of Salford 10K races, is now in its fourth year and is fast becoming a local tradition.
Sports Tours International Race Director, Graham Jackson, commented: “This is a fun event for the festive season, no times are recorded and everyone is welcome to take part, whether you wish to walk or run the course, which is approximately 5km.
“All finishers receive a commemorative medal and there are selection boxes for the children. We encourage everyone to wear Santa suits, which are included in the entry fee when you enter online, if you don’t have your own.”
Lawrence Jones MBE, CEO and founder of the event’s headline sponsor, UKFast, said: “We’re excited to be part of this event and starting the countdown to Christmas. There are many opportunities throughout the year to run competitively and be cheered on by your family, this is an opportunity to get the whole family from the sidelines and get them involved.”
The race - starting at MediaCityUK Square, outside the BBC offices in Salford – passes the Imperial War Museum before finishing in MediaCityUK.
The run takes place on Sunday 29th November at 10.15am. To enter and find out more about the Santa Run visit www.mediacityuksantarun.co.uk or call 0161 703 8161.
