Creamline Trio Takes On Pretty Muddy Challenge In Honour Of Colleague

Creamline Trio Takes On Pretty Muddy Challenge In Honour Of Colleague

Creamline Dairies (www.creamline.co.uk ) - the Trafford - Park based family company – turned out in force last weekend, taking on Race for Life’s Pretty Muddy obstacle course, with a trio of Creamline recruits.

Completing the 5K challenge, Creamline’s muddy milk maids, Marie Brown, Debbie Hodgkinson and Jenny Woolhead, raised an impressive £1,000 for Cancer Research UK, in honour of Mike Bayley – a Creamline colleague and friend.

The event, which was held at Heaton Park, calls on people of all abilities and ages to join in and have fun with your friends, whilst climbing over, crawling under and charging through all the obstacles along the way. Its ultimate aim is to raise valuable funds to help the fight against the disease – with cancer survival rates having doubled over the past 40 years.

Commenting on the team’s efforts, Debbie Hodgkinson, said: ‘It’s great to return to this event two years in a row and raise even more money for Cancer Research. This year we lost a very special friend and colleague to cancer, which spurred us on even more, to run in his memory as Mike’s muddy milk maids.

With 1 in 2 people now being diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, this disease doesn’t care who, when or how it takes hold, which is why we wanted to take part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy, to raise money, awareness and save lives.”

Creamline has supported the ladies’ efforts by boosting the amount raised. Committed to supporting the communities it serves, Creamline’s charity efforts have been recognised with their latest Salford Business Awards win, within the Community category, for their charity work, which along with the long-established Creamline Lottery, includes the Cream of the Community award – which was created by Creamline, to reward community spirited people living within Greater Manchester and Cheshire.
