Alongside Arsenal talisman Ozil, other footballing royalty found onboard included ex-Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini, ex-Manchester United and Fulham striker Louis Saha and ex-Chelsea and West-Ham manager, Avram Grant.

Karim Usmani, Director at Smart City Prestige commented on just how honoured the company were to be involved in such a prestigious event.

He said: “It was a genuine honour to transport footballing royalty to the Football for Peace event. We are proud to be in a position that we were trusted as Football for Peace’s travel partners for this prestigious event.

“The team here at Smart City Prestige take great pride in ensuring that our esteemed guests were able to travel in complete luxury to their destination.”

During the event, Football for Peace launched the #FootballSavesLives initiative, which pledges to train 500 Young Peace Leaders by 2020. It also honoured Young Peace Leaders from across the UK who had graduated from the City for Peace imitative this year.

The event held at the Copper Box Area in East London was attended by Prince William, who took part in a workshop delivered by Football for Peace Tutors.

His Royal Highness then ended his day by joining several of the charity’s Footballing Ambassadors and students in breaking down a wall with footballs, in a message against hate and violence.

In a speech, The Duke of Cambridge said: "I am delighted that the #FootballSavesLives campaign, launched today, will see more of you trained to bring young people from across the country together.

“Football is not just a game. It is part of the fabric of this nation – providing a common interest and a unifying identity. It brings us together in the enjoyment of a simple pastime, without complication, but with plenty of passion!”

"It was a genuine honour to transport footballing royalty to the Football for Peace event."
